Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions for the competition: Theta, the cut-e Award for Person-Job-Fit Innovation 2017.

Entry: Entrants must be aged 18 or over

Prize: Combination of coaching, marketing support and four thousand Euro cash prize

Timing
The submission phase runs between the 1st October 2016 and the 31st December 2016. Submissions must be made online using the forms available. No submissions in any other form will be considered. The shortlist phase will run in January 2017 and the shortlisted submissions will be made public in February 2017. The finalists will be notified by the end of February and the final winner will be announced on the 23rd March 2017 in Hamburg, Germany.

Shortlisted submissions and finalists will be notified by telephone / email.

  1. This competition is open excluding the following: employees of cut-e, or any of its subsidiary companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. cut-e reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. cut-e may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and the prize may be withheld until and unless cut-e is satisfied with the verification.
  2. cut-e reserves the right to reject unsuitable submissions: cut-e will check and approve / reject all submissions within a reasonable timescale, target of 24 hours, of submission being made. Approved submissions will be published online directly.
  3. cut-e reserves the right, at any time in the selection process, to refuse / reject a submission without needing to state any reason.
  4. Confidentiality: The submissions will be reviewed by employees of cut-e in the process of administering the competition. The submissions may be reviewed also by the jury in the process of deciding on the winner. Information given in the title and brief description of the submission may be used for promotional purposes. Additional details will not be published or communicated without the express permission of the submitter. cut-e is solely interested in having as much information as is necessary to evaluate the submission in terms of the criteria of the competition.
  5. Photos of people or things related to the submission may be used for promotional purposes.
  6. cut-e may request quotes or contact for promotional purposes from any of the submitting persons who agree to support and provide requested information. The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with this competition and it is a condition of entry that the winner(s) agree to their name and country of residence being made publicly available if they win and to participate in the required publicity. Refusal to do so can result in withdrawal of the prize. 
  7. Shortlisted submissions agree to complete a more detailed authenticity and honesty check within the timescale specified upon request. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
  8. Finalists agree to participate in the production of a short video presentation of their submission to be used for promotional purposes - if requested.
  9. Nominated finalists agree, if requested, to attend the final announcement of the winner at the cut-e international event ‘The Smart Use of Online Assessment’ on the 23rd March 2017 in Hamburg.
  10. If the submitting party refuses the points 7, 8 and 9, cut-e reserves the right to select the next runner up. 
  11. There is a cash prize for the winner in the value of four thousand Euro. Payment will be made by electronic transfer to a bank account of the submitting party after the 23rd March 2017. The winner will provide the bank details within 4 weeks of being announced. Should the winner fail to do so, cut-e reserves the right to refuse payment of the cash prize.  
  12. The second and third placed submissions do not receive any cash prize but will be awarded a commemorative certificate.
  13. The winner, second and third position are not permitted to make the same submission in subsequent years.
  14. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of this competition, cut-e reserves the right to end or suspend the competition; amend these terms & conditions; declare void the notification of winner(s); and/or to allocate available prizes by selecting the next on the list of runner-up winners.
  15. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  16. Entrants' personal data will be collected, stored and processed solely for the purposes of administering and assessing this competition and, if you consent, to inform you about prospective events via e-mail. You can object to the processing under privacy@cut-e.com.
  17. The final decision, made and communicated by cut-e, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. cut-e reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
  19. This promotion is governed by German Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the German courts.
